spent 5 hours on a train today and it was worth it to be back in malmö.

forgot it was australia day, didn’t really care. sorry australia, you’re okay and all but I don’t really want to celebrate the landing of a rickety boat that perpetuated the slow and painful decline of an entire peoples. I’ll celebrate you on another day maybe.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING TO GARRY LAST NIGHT! I would be all for an Australia Day if it was on another date. The fact that it’s celebrated on the anniversary of permanent invasion indicates that it’s more a celebration of British rule rather than a celebration of the country as a whole. His silence told me everything that was going through his head because I know how he disagrees with views like mine.
