Someday I wish to build a mighty friendship with a mighty elephant. Note: I actually wish to do this with all animals, but this is a picture of an elephant and elephants are my lord and saviour.

African Albino Girl in Freetown, Sierra Leone. I love mother and child photographs and the contrast of skin pigmentation brings a whole new level of aesthetically pleasing to this picture. I recently became aware of the brutal attacks and murders of people with albinism for their limbs which are believed, by witch doctors in Tanzania, to contain special powers. Some of the people are left alive and have to live without limbs. Why is there such madness in the world?

The Blue Marble taken from Apollo 17 on December 7th, 1972. The original version of this photo shows the South Pole at the top due to the angle of the ship at the time of capture.  When I was about 9 or 10, I had this photo in huge poster form hanging out on my bedroom wall. I miss it so much. Isn’t our planet glorious?
